It’s Finally Here!!
FTC’s 4th Annual Drama Camp!!
In this fun and educational three-week camp, young performers (beginers - advanced) will gain a basic understanding of many theatre techniques to strengthen their talents on stage and in life. Through daily exercises, students will focus on Stanislavsky-based acting techniques, voice and movement exercises, and improvisation. There will be several intensive workshops led by guest professionals in the areas of musical theatre, hand-to-hand stage combat, Shakespeare, theatre games, playwriting, puppetry and more! In a relaxed atmosphere, students can be free to express themselves and have fun exploring their talent in different forms of theatre that they will showcase in a free performance on the last day of camp, on August 1st.
There is a registration fee of $45, scholarships are available. Everyone is encouraged to apply to be in the camp, regardless of financial situation.
For students going into 8th grade through going into 12th grade
When: July 14th – August 1st.
Monday – Friday
3:00-6:00 pm
Where: Arroyo Valley H.S. Theatre,
1881 W. Baseline St.
San Bernardino, CA 92411

Please wear comfortable loose clothing that you can move in. Sweat pants and tank tops are okay, shirts must have sleeves of some kind. Some jeans and shorts might be hard to move in, so use your best judgement. Hair should be tied back or kept out of your face. Tennis shoes are preferred, but sneakers that stay on your feet should be fine. Please DO NOT wear heels or flip flops, and be able to go barefoot if proper shoes are not worn.
What to bring:
You may bring water bottles and a snack, if you want. Snacks and drinks other than water will not be allowed during class. We will have a short break in the middle of class, or you may eat a snack beforehand if you come early. We will start promptly at 3:00.
Transportation:
Please arrange for your own transportation to and from Arroyo Valley. We will exchange contact information on the first day, so parents can arrange carpooling if necessary; this has worked well in the past.
