Two Gentlemen of Verona
"Comedy, love and a bit with a dog" - from Shakespeare in Love referring to Two Gentlemen of Verona. In Shakespeare’s earliest comedy, he takes us on a journey from "boring" Verona to "fabulous" Milan to a lawless Italian forest. Proteus and Valentine are best friends, but the bounds and bonds of friendship are tested when they both want the same girl. See the original characters that would be echoed in his future plays, his first use of cross dressing, lovers that would reappear in a summer’s dream, and hints of many of his other future characters. Throw in a real dog (who may or may not bark in verse) and you never know what will happen.

Othello
Othello is unique among Shakespeare’s masterpieces for its purity of story and morality. A black man in a white society, Othello has earned immense respect and honored military position – but does he go too far when he woos Desdemona, the epitome of white beauty and goodness. Their marriage represents absolute virtue, which can only be destroyed by equal malfeasance. That degree of evil quickly provided by Shakespeare’s most perfect villain, Iago who plots to vanquish the happiness surrounding him
